Authorship & Contributorship

JPCR follows the authorship principles recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authorship should be based on all of the following criteria: (1) substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data; (2) drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; (3) final approval of the version to be published; and (4) agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work.

Contributors who do not meet all four criteria (for example, those providing technical assistance, funding or general supervision) should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section rather than listed as authors.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have approved the final manuscript and the order of authorship, and that no eligible author has been omitted. Any change to authorship after submission must be approved in writing by all authors. Guest, gift and ghost authorship are strictly prohibited.
