Plagiarism Policy

JBELS maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism-detection software before being sent for peer review.

Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, that the work and words of others are appropriately cited and quoted, and that permission is obtained where necessary. Any form of plagiarism – including verbatim copying, paraphrasing without attribution, self-plagiarism and redundant publication – is unacceptable.

Manuscripts with an unacceptable level of textual similarity will be rejected. Where plagiarism is detected after publication, the journal will follow COPE guidelines, which may include a published correction or retraction and notification of the authors' institution.
