About the Journal
The Journal of Business, Economics, Law and Social Sciences (JBELS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation. The journal disseminates original research, reviews, case studies, and policy analyses across the business, economic, legal, and social sciences.
JBELS covers topics such as business studies and management, economics and development, law and policy, public administration, gender studies, applied ethics, the humanities, music and the creative arts, and peace and conflict studies, among other fields. It draws on the expertise of the School of Business, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace Studies, and the Directorate of Distance Education and Open Learning.
All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, and there are no submission or publication charges. The journal publishes six issues per year.
