Aims & Scope
The Medical and Biomedical Journal (MBJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University. It publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and case studies that advance knowledge across the biomedical sciences, life sciences, and medicine.
The journal welcomes submissions in areas including, but not limited to:
- Surgery and clinical medicine
- HIV and AIDS
- Public and community health
- Obstetrics and gynaecology
- Child and maternal health
- Pathology and laboratory medicine
- Epidemiology and disease control
- Anatomy and physiology
- Microbiology and parasitology
- Pharmacology and other fields within the biomedical and life sciences
MBJ draws on the expertise of the Schools of Medicine, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Natural Resources of the Copperbelt University, and aims to promote health research that responds to the needs of Zambia and the wider region.
