Aims & Scope
Aims
The Journal of Engineering, Infrastructure, Natural and Environmental Sciences (JEINES) aims to advance knowledge, innovation and professional practice across engineering, infrastructure, natural sciences, environmental sciences and related applied disciplines.
The journal seeks to provide a high-quality scholarly platform for the dissemination of original, scientifically rigorous and practically relevant research that contributes to understanding and addressing contemporary technological, environmental, infrastructural and developmental challenges.
JEINES particularly encourages multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research that connects scientific knowledge with practical applications, technological innovation, sustainable development, natural resource management and evidence-based decision-making.
The journal aims to:
- Promote the dissemination of high-quality research in engineering, infrastructure, natural sciences, environmental sciences and related applied fields.
- Encourage multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research that brings together different areas of knowledge to address complex scientific, technological, environmental and societal challenges.
- Support innovation and technological development through the publication of research that contributes to new technologies, methods, materials, processes, systems and applications.
- Advance sustainable development by promoting research addressing environmental sustainability, natural resource management, infrastructure development, climate-related challenges and responsible use of resources.
- Promote research relevant to Zambia and the Southern African region, while providing an international platform for research of wider global significance.
- Strengthen the connection between research and practical application by encouraging studies that can inform professional practice, policy, planning, industry and evidence-based decision-making.
- Provide a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, engineers, scientists, professionals and postgraduate students to communicate research findings and contribute to the advancement of knowledge.
- Foster scientific and academic collaboration across disciplines, institutions and geographical regions through the exchange of research findings, methodologies and innovative ideas.
- Contribute to scientific capacity building by supporting the dissemination of emerging research and developing scholarship in engineering, natural and applied sciences, environmental studies and related fields.
- Maintain high standards of scholarly publishing through rigorous peer review, academic integrity, methodological rigour and responsible research and publication practices.
