Policy on Submissions by Editors and Editorial Board Members

Journal of Engineering, Infrastructure, Natural and Environmental Sciences (JEINES) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of objective, rigorous, and transparent peer review. To prevent any potential conflicts of interest or bias, submissions authored or co-authored by members of the JEINES editorial team, Section Editors, or the Editor-in-Chief are governed by the following strict protocols:

  1. Complete Recusal: Any editor who is an author on a submitted manuscript must recuse themselves entirely from the editorial workflow. They will have no access to assign reviewers, view confidential reviewer identities, or participate in editorial decisions regarding the manuscript.

  2. Independent Handling: The manuscript will be assigned directly to an independent Section Editor or a designated Guest Editor who operates with total autonomy. The handling editor has full authority to manage the peer-review process, select external reviewers, and make final acceptance or rejection decisions.

  3. Transparent Disclosure: Any published manuscript authored by an editorial board member or journal administrator will include a formal disclosure statement in the published article metadata noting that the peer review and editorial decision-making process was managed independently by a separate editor.
