JOURNAL of ENGINEERING, INFRASTRUCTURE, NATURAL and ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES
The Journal of Engineering, Infrastructure, Natural and Environmental Sciences (JEINES) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation. JEINES offers a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, engineers, and postgraduate students to share original scientific contributions across the natural and applied sciences.
The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, technical notes, and case studies spanning engineering, infrastructure, and the natural and environmental sciences. Its scope includes civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering; construction and the built environment; mining, mineral sciences, metallurgy, and mineral economics; ecology, geography, chemistry, physics, and biology; earth sciences and geoinformatics; and mathematics and statistics, among other related fields. By bringing together the expertise of the Schools of the Built Environment, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mines and Mineral Sciences, and Natural Resources, JEINES fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue and innovation.
All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, methodological rigour, and scientific relevance. JEINES is committed to the principles of open science: every article is freely available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, authors retain copyright of their work, and there are no submission or publication charges. The journal publishes two issues per year.
Through the dissemination of high-quality, regionally grounded and globally relevant research, JEINES aims to advance sustainable development, strengthen technological capacity, and support evidence-based solutions to the engineering and environmental challenges facing Zambia and the wider region.

MEDICAL and BIOMEDICAL JOURNAL
The Medical and Biomedical Journal (MBJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation. MBJ provides a dedicated platform for the dissemination of original research and scholarship across the biomedical sciences, life sciences, and medicine.
The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and case studies. Its scope encompasses a broad range of health and life-science disciplines, including surgery and clinical medicine; HIV and AIDS; public and community health; obstetrics and gynaecology; child and maternal health; pathology and laboratory medicine; epidemiology and disease control; anatomy and physiology; microbiology and parasitology; and pharmacology, among other related fields. Drawing on the combined expertise of the Schools of Medicine, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and Natural Resources, MBJ encourages research that bridges laboratory science, clinical practice, and population health.
Every submission undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to safeguard academic integrity, scientific quality, and ethical soundness. MBJ adheres to internationally recognised publication-ethics standards, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal is fully open access: all articles are freely available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, authors retain copyright of their work, and no submission or publication charges are levied. MBJ publishes four issues per year.
By promoting rigorous, ethically sound, and locally relevant health research, MBJ aims to strengthen the evidence base for medical practice and public-health policy in Zambia and the wider region, and to contribute to the global advancement of the biomedical and life sciences.

The Journal of Business, Economics, Law and Social Sciences (JBELS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation. JBELS provides a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, academics, policymakers, and postgraduate students to share original scholarship across the business, economic, legal, and social sciences.
The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, case studies, and policy analyses. Its scope spans business studies and management sciences, economics, law and policy, public administration, development studies, gender studies, applied ethics, the humanities, music and the creative arts, and peace and conflict studies, among other related fields. Drawing on the expertise of the School of Business, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace Studies, and the Directorate of Distance Education and Open Learning, JBELS encourages scholarship that connects rigorous analysis with real-world social and economic challenges.

The Journal of Peace and Conflict Research (JPCR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Copperbelt University through the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Research and Innovation. JPCR provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and postgraduate students to share original scholarship in the fields of peace, conflict, and security studies.
The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, case studies, and policy analyses. Its scope spans peace studies and peacebuilding; conflict analysis, transformation, and resolution; security and human security; governance, democracy, and the rule of law; human rights, justice, and reconciliation; development and resource-related conflicts; gender and peace; and regional integration and international relations, among other related fields. Drawing on the expertise of the Dag Hammarskjöld Institute for Peace Studies and partner units of the Copperbelt University, JPCR encourages scholarship that bridges rigorous analysis with the practical challenges of building and sustaining peace.
